The SDAFP held it's annual ski seminar in Spearfish, SD on Feb.5-7, 2004. We had about 65 participants for this year’s conference, which included topics on "our aging population" and "diabetes."
The weather had cooperated this year by having and abundance of snow prior to the conference, which made for great skiing again this year. Dr. Dan Reiffenberger stepped down as president of the SDAFP, and Dr. Dan Heinemann, a member of the board of the national AAFP from Canton, SD, swore in our new president, Dr. Mary Beecher from Madison, SD.
The topics for the conference were once again informative, and the post conference reviews were great. We added some family activities that were well attended and we look forward to having the families attend again next year.
