Welcome to the 2009 SDAFP Winter Seminar! It is never to soon to begin planning for the Winter Conference! The northern Black Hills beckon you to the slopes and trails. With South Dakota's unpredictable weather we always hope for lots of snow before we arrive, but will be making snow if necessary. Keep in mind that Spearfish is located just a short distance from Terry Peak and Deer Mountain ski areas. If there isn't adequate snow, or if skiing isn't your "thing" perhaps the holidome setting is more your style. The indoor pool, hot tubs, arcade and game area are great! All of our events will take place in the spacious Spearfish Convention Center, located adjacent to the Northern Hills Holiday Inn at Spearfish. SDAFP Committees will meet at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Make plans to come to the committee meetings to give your input. You don't need to be officially assigned to a committee to attend. If you have an interest in setting up the next Winter Seminar, attend the Education Committee meeting. If you have other ideas or concerns regarding membership, legislation, or public relations, plan to attend the Membership Issues Committee meeting. The Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday, beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday evening we will be having an Exhibitor's Social. We will have entertainment for the kids as well so join your friends and relax in the exhibit hall! Join us at Terry Peak Ski Lodge on Friday following the morning session for "Lunch at the Lodge." Pre-registration is required. We have a lot of fun family events planned so bring your family and enjoy the Black Hills of South Dakota!
