Dr. Hirschman grew up in LeMars, Iowa. He received his Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, with minors in computer science and chemistry, and his Medical degree from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. During his undergraduate years he worked in the biochemistry lab, then took a year off before beginning medical school to manage the family sheep ranch, teach, and play the French Horn in the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra. His interests include horseback riding, ranching, and mostly spending time with his wife, Melora DeCock Hirschman and three children. Bryon will be finishing his residency training this summer and has accepted a job in Norfolk, Nebraska. It has been a pleasure working with him and we all wish Bryon the best of luck in Norfolk!
