Summer 2000
The Class of 2000 will mostly complete the Program June 30th. They have been a lively group and will be missed. Except for one maverick, they all plan to practice in either South Dakota or Minnesota. Hopefully they will stop in from time to time and let us know how things are going. We congratulate them on completing the Program and wish them success in their practices. This class of 11 brings the total number of Sioux Falls Family Practice Residency graduates to 222.BOBBI JO D. ADAMS, M.D. will not complete the Program until July 19th due to an extended maternity leave. She will practice in Wadena, Minnesota at the Wadena Medical Center.
SUSAN M. ANDERSON, M.D. will complete the Program July 12th and then will begin practice with University Physicians here in Sioux Falls. Susan has done a splendid job as Co-Chief Resident with Jack Schwinghamer this year.
D. DAN CROSSLEY, M.D. is the maverick mentioned above. He will be starting his own practice, Mountain States Family Practice Clinic, in Montpelier, Idaho. Dans home is Council, Idaho and he and his wife, Karen, wanted to locate near their families after having been away for many years of military obligations and medical training.
JULIE M. MEYER, M.D. completes the Program July 12th after which she will practice at Affiliated Community Medical Centers in Willmar, Minnesota.
MARY JO OLSON, M.D. will practice at the Sioux Valley Vermillion Clinic in Vermillion, South Dakota.
BRUCE H. SCHULZ, M.D. will be associated with the Sioux Valley Physician Group and is assigned to practice at the Sycamore Clinic in Sioux Falls. He will be taking over Dr. Dan Blues (89 SFFPR grad) patients.
JACK D. SCHWINGHAMER, M.D. returns to Minnesota to practice at Allina Medical Clinic/Mora.
TODD A. SORENSEN, M.D. will be taking over retiring Dr. Jerry Waltons practice at Family Practice Physicians in Sioux Falls.
JUDY A. STERNBERG, M.D., who is soon to be married to 99 SFFPR grad, Stephen Chesley, will be practicing at the Luverne Medical Center, Luverne, Minnesota with her husband and two other SFFPR grads, Diane Kennedy, M.D. (93) and Tim Mulder (99).
TONI J. VANDER POL, M.D. will practice at Avera Dakota Family Practice in Parkston, South Dakota with 81 grad, Richard Honke, II, M.D.
NANCI J. VAN PEURSEM, M.D. goes to practice in Sisseton, South Dakota at the Coteau des Prairies Clinic.
