Summer 2000
Susan M. Anderson, MD will be joining the Department of Family Medicine as a faculty member, effective September 5, 2000.
Dr. Anderson, is a recent graduate of the Sioux Falls Family Practice Residency Program, where she was a chief resident. She completed her undergraduate education at South Dakota State University in Brookings, and her medical degree at the USD School of Medicine.
She will provide patient care at the University Physicians Clinic on the Sioux Valley campus, as well as provide patient care in a satellite UP office one day per week. In addition, she will be assuming the Medical Directorship of the Canistota Good Samaritan Center.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, bicycling, playing the piano, traveling, and attending various community and church functions.
Susan and her husband, Matt, live with their three children in Canistota.
Vogt Honored
H. Bruce Vogt, MD has received the 2000 Chester B. McVay Award for faculty teaching and research excellence presented by the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He was also selected by the University of South Dakota School of Medicine Class of 2000 as speaker for the Graduation Culmination Ceremony.
