John Jones, MD of Chamberlain has announced his intention to run for a position on the Board of Directors of the SDAFP. If elected, he will join the Board as a Vice President.
A 1979 USDSM graduate, John completed his residency training at the Sioux Falls Family Practice Residency. He was an Academy member during his student and resident years, becoming an Active member in 1982, upon graduation from residency. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the USDSM Department of Family Medicine.
John and his wife, Shirlene have made their home in Chamberlain since 1982. He practices at the Mid Dakota Clinic.
Mary Beecher, MD, of Madison, has also announced her candidacy for the Vice Presidential position on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Beecher, a 1984 USDSM graduate, also completed her residency training at the Sioux Falls Family Practice Residency. She was an Academy member during her student and resident years, becoming an Active member in 1987, upon graduation from residency. She is a Clinical Associate Professor for the Department of Family Medicine. She practices at Interlakes Medical Center.
Mary and her husband, Doug have lived in Madison since completing her residency training.
Jerome Bentz, MD, of Platte, is also interested in the Vice Presidential position.
Jerome is a 1980 USDSM graduate, who completed his residency training in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1983. He was a resident member while living in Iowa, and has been an active member of the SDAFP since 1983, when he moved to Platte, with his wife Yvonne. Dr. Bentz is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. He practices at the Platte Family Medical Clinic.
Tim Donelan, MD, of Sioux Falls also has expressed interest in serving on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Donelan is a 1991 USDSM graduate who completed his residency training at the Sioux Falls Family Practice Residency in 1994. He has been a member of SDAFP since he was a student ,continuing his membership through residency and became an active member in 1994. Tim is a Clinical Instructor for the Department of Family Medicine.
Tim and his wife, Amy, live in Sioux Falls, where he practices at Family Practice Physicians.
