Spring 2001
Black Hills Winter Ski Seminar a Success ![]()
Despite a major winter storm just a couple days before the beginning of the 2001 Black Hills Winter Ski Seminar, the interstate reopened and 61 brave physicians, residents and medical students, and about the same number of exhibitors, forged a track to Spearfish.
The speakers were generally well-received, despite a number of audiovisual problems.
Family time and group social events continue to be a very popular part of our seminars.
There was significant discussion, both at the board level, and with everyone present at the seminar, the likelihood of scaling back to just one meeting each year, beginning in 2002. Participants were asked their preference of which meeting to continue—summer vs. winter. Being a biased group of skiers and snow enthusiasts, their written recommendation was an overwhelming, "Keep the winter meeting!" All members are asked to voice their opinion about this very important topic. Please contact a board member, or e-mail Mary at the office at: mary@sdafp.org
