Introducing Doctors
Fromm and Clark ![]()
This quarter we would like to introduce Doctors Deborah Fromm and Leroy Clark. Both of them are third year residents who will be graduating this June.
Dr. Clark grew up in Eagle Butte, SD. His medical career began in 1984, when he took a job as an Emergency Medical Technician. Leroy entered the Cheyenne River Community College in 1990 while he was still working for the ambulance service.
He moved to Brookings in 1991 and received his bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1994. He entered the University of Minnesota School of Medicine at the Duluth campus that summer. His last two years of medical school were spent at the Minneapolis campus and he joined our residency program as a first year in the summer of 1998.
In his free time Leroy enjoys fishing, golf, and spending time with his wife, Wendy, and 6-year old son, Trevor. He has not yet accepted a position for next year, but is looking at opportunities in rural South Dakota, Rapid City, and eastern Minnesota.
Dr. Fromm was raised in Rapid City and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northeastern University in Boston. She spent 10 years working as a certified public accountant in the Denver area before returning to college at the University of Colorado in Denver for her pre-medical requirements.
Deb attended Medical School at the University of South Dakota and spent her last two years at the West River Campus in Rapid City. She joined our residency program in 1998.
Deb enjoys golfing, is actively involved in her church, and like so many of our residents, spends most of her free time with her family. She is planning to join a practice in Western South Dakota or Colorado after she graduates in June.
