STFM Resident Teacher Award

1999 SFFPR graduate, Kurt Schwieters, was chosen by the residency faculty as the recipient of the 1999 STFM Resident Teacher Award. This award recognizes a resident who has demonstrated skills and interest in teaching. This award emphasizes the importance of family practice education among residents and is provided as a service of STFM.

 Where Did They Go?

 Graduates of the Class of 1999:

Stephen Chesley and Tim Mulder went to Luverne Medical Center, Luverne, Minnesota, where they join SFFPR grad Diane Kennedy (’93).
Holly Hett to Dakota Clinic in Park Rapids, Minnesota, where she joins SFFPR grads Dave Benson (’98) and Greg Sperle (’89).
Mark Meyers returns to his home state, leaving us for practice in Springfield, Oregon (a suburb of Eugene).
Mark Reynen went to practice in his home town of Mitchell, South Dakota at Mitchell Clinic Ltd.
Kurt and Mary Schwieters are now practicing at CentraCare Clinic in Melrose, Minnesota.
Dawn Snow is practicing at Medical Arts Clinic in Sioux Falls.

We wish them well in their new practices and hope that they will keep in touch with the residency.

 Hett Inducted Into South Dakota Alpha Omega Alpha

 Holly Hett, 1999 SFFPR grad, was inducted into the South Dakota chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha in April. Induction is based upon academic performance, teaching, research and cooperation with fellow workers. Letters of reference are supplied by faculty.
